Type: Technology

Some technologies are unit upgrade technologies. Unit upgrades technologies match a unit on a player’s faction sheet. When a player gains a unit upgrade technology, they place its card over the corresponding unit on their faction sheet.

When a unit is upgraded, all the player’s units of that type (both on the game board and in their reinforcements) immediately have the attributes shown on the unit upgrade technology. 

Unit upgrade technologies, unlike other technologies, may have prerequisites composed of multiple colors. Additionally, unit upgrade technologies do not satisfy prerequisites when researching technology.

Some factions have special unit upgrade technologies. These count as Faction technologies (For example for the purpose of the "Adapt New Strategies" Secret Objective)


Carrier[]

Upgraded Carriers are faster and have larger capacity.

Strike Wing Alpha II (The Argent Flight)[]

Upgraded Argent Destroyers perform better in combat, have capacity and can destroy infantry in space with rolls of 9 or 10.

Upgraded Naalu Fighters are better in combat compared to regular upgraded Fighters and only count as 1/2 to the fleet supply if not carried.

Infantry[]

Upgraded infantry are more effective at ground combat and gain the ability to return to home system at the next turn when destroyed.
