The official complexity ratings for each faction are listed below:
Low Complexity (1/3)[]
These factions generally have intuitive abilities, a synchronized toolkit, an easy early game, and powerful abilities/bonuses. They will generally achieve better overall results and will be more comfortable for newer and intermediate players.

- The Empyrean
- The Federation of Sol
- The L1Z1X Mindnet
- The Naaz-Rokha Alliance
- The Nomad
- The Universities of Jol-Nar
- The Xxcha Kingdom
- The Yin Brotherhood
- The Yssaril Tribes
Moderate Complexity (2/3)[]
These factions lie in between the other two groups and are recommended for players with some level of experience.
- The Clan of Saar
- The Council Keleres
- The Ghosts of Creuss
- The Naalu Collective
- Sardakk N'orr
- The Titans of Ul
- The Winnu
High Complexity (3/3)[]
These factions have powerful abilities which are more difficult to utilize optimally and thus achieve the best results under the hands of skilled players. They are generally more difficult to understand and form a smooth game plan with compared to the above factions and/or their performance may be reliant on various external factors. They are recommended for intermediate to advanced players and players looking for a challenge.
