Twilight Imperium Fourth Edition

Control tokens are small rectangular tokens with a faction symbol on both sides.

Uses for control tokens:

• If a player takes control of a planet, but later moves all units off that planet, they must place a control token that matches their faction on that planet to mark that they own it.
• When a player scores a Victory Point, they place a control token that matches their faction on the victory point tracker to mark how many points they are on and one on the public objective they have scored to serve as proof.

The above image demonstrates the appropriate setup at game start. Control tokens begin at (0) and are moved up as each player scores points.

Twilight Imperium Third Edition

Control Tokens are referred to as "Control Markers" and are used in the same way as in Twilight Imperium Fourth Edition, but are instead represented by Flag tokens.
